Description
These power supplies are the perfect replacement for the switching supplies normally supplied with Prestige Music Servers. There is a choice of pure linear or GAN hybrid supplies.
The pure linear supply uses oversized toroidal transformers and low-dropout linear regulators for mid-power output. High power servers such as Prestige XL or Prestige Xtreme, particularly if used with Roon and/or HQ Player will find the additional output and lower heat of the GAN Hybrid units.
GAN technology employs higher frequencies than regular supplies. This offers higher efficiency and easier filtering. This is further regulated by a MOSFET high-current linear regulator.
Some Prestige systems use 12v, usually with 2.5mm, power jack. Others use 19v, usually with 7.4mm, coaxial connector. If in doubt please ask.
