Many streamers, including those from NAIM and other brands, lack native compatibility with Roon. The Sonore Bridge Application offers a potential solution, enabling a seamless connection without the need for additional components – you can run Roon (and other Apps such as DLNA) at the same time as Sonore Bridge, on our servers.
Method 1 – Using Sonore Bridge Software (Network Connection)

- Connect via Network. No intricate settings required.
Roon Control App Setup:

- Open your Roon Control App and select the Roon system.

- Add the Roon password; no need to set a storage location as it’s pre-set.

- In Roon Settings, enable ‘Squeezebox Support.’
Naim System Setup:

- Power on your Naim system and set it to the Media input.

- Keep the volume low.
Computer Setup:

- Power on a computer and open a browser.
-
- Visit sonicorbiter.com and click into the Nova Interface.
Sonore Bridge Configuration:

- Navigate to Settings/Sonore Bridge.

- Your Naim system should be detected. Select it and Save.
Return to Roon Control App:

- In Roon/Settings/Music, find a Network Player named Sonore Bridge, Nova, or Sonicorbiter.

- Select the player; Roon will prompt you to give it a name.
Play Music:

- Choose the player from the Speaker icon at the bottom of the page and start enjoying your music.
Method 2 – Using USB to SPDIF or a DAC (Hardware Connection)
Hardware Connection:

- Connect to the hardware input on the streamer.

- Connect a USB DAC or USB to SPDIF converter (Such as Sonore ultraDigital)
Audiostore Nova:

- Go to Audiostore Nova/Settings/Roon Server Settings

- Tick ‘Enable local playback to a USB DAC’
Roon Interface:

- In the Roon interface, locate a ‘local’ player
Additional Notes:

- To integrate your NAIM WAV library, the onboard SongKong option in Nova Apps can be utilized. Paste in the ‘Melco’ license option.
- For highest quality use a Sonore ultraRendu or opticalRendu or SignatureRendu Deluxe with Sonore ultraDigital
- For ultra-simple solution use Audiostore Digi32 to connect to Roon
